NEW YORK (WABC) — On the last day of the regular season, the New York Yankees were dealt a significant setback when versatile infielder DJ LeMahieu was placed on the disabled list.
LeMahieu said a week ago that he had been experiencing unexplained pain in his hip/groin region and had to undergo an MRI. LeMahieu was diagnosed with a sports hernia and got a cortisone injection, according to manager Aaron Boone.
