PEO, a popular cryptocurrency exchange platform in the Philippines, is launching their first Star Card Fundraiser. The company has partnered with three charities to raise money for children in need.

The p.e.o. local chapters is a non-profit organization that helps people in the community and promotes literacy by hosting book clubs, writing workshops, and reading events.

Scholarship fund for women in North County 

PASO ROBLES — The Paso Robles chapter of PEO International (Philanthropic Educational Organization) is launching a new Star Card fundraiser to raise funds for the Kiper-Twist Scholarship Fund, which will primarily benefit women in North San Luis Obispo County who are attending college, trade schools, or returning to school to improve themselves, gain skills, and earn college degrees to better provide for their families. 

Since 2002, the PEO Chapter HL in Paso Robles has provided financial assistance to 54 women totalling $127,385 in scholarships.

PEO Chapter HL will begin selling numbered Star Cards for $50 on September 15th, which will allow the purchaser to a 20% discount on chosen goods and services from 40+ participating local companies for the 10-day period of Friday, October 15th through Sunday, October 24th.

Visit PEOpaso.org to buy a Star Card. A picture ID must be provided at the time of purchase, and the cardholder’s name must be printed on the Star Card booklet. Non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-replaceable Star Cards are not available. Wineries, beer gardens, restaurants, specialty foods, health and fitness, clothes and jewelry, florists and nurseries, spas and salons, presents and art, and automotive services are among the Star Card merchants and companies that participate.  

Barb Sefton, Star Card chair, adds, “Our local chapter of PEO focuses on assisting women in north San Luis Obispo County.” “The Kiper-Twist Scholarship Fund assists citizens and high school graduates with a minimum 2.8 GPA or GED equivalent who want to attend a school of their choosing with need-based scholarships.
